Preferred candidates have knowledge & experience in evidence-based approaches, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), exposure & response prevention (ERP), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), trauma-focused CBT, etc. We are interested in applicants who have experience in areas outside of OCD & anxiety, such as autism, trauma, mood disorders, substance abuse, and eating disorders. We are looking for applicants with experience treating children & adolescents.

  • The DFW OCD Treatment Specialists (DOTS) Consortium is a collaboration between DFW’s leading OCD, anxiety, & related disorders practices. The DOTS Postdoctoral Fellowship, established in 2022, offers postdoctoral candidates (PhD or PsyD) advanced clinical training in evidence-based treatment for OCD & related disorder and professional development in a supportive, collaborative environment.

  • SOAR’s undergraduate & graduate interns are a vital part of our team. Interns consistently report their experience has been invaluable to their personal & professional development. Each intern has a primary focus, but a wide variety of opportunities are available to all.

    Psychology Interns

    • Write & review mental health content for blogs, brochures, social media & video production

    • Format and edit professional presentations (possible authorship & conference presentation opportunities)

    • Opportunities may be available, upon request, to shadow & support individual or group therapy

    Marketing Interns

    • Attend professional networking events

    • Call and visit potential referral partners

    • Create written materials

    • Coordinate mailings

    • Assist with online presence

    Video Production Interns

    • Create and edit short videos to showcase the practice

    • Create longer educational videos to post on YouTube

    Digital Media Interns

    • Write and design blog entries on relevant topics such as OCD, anxiety, and evidence-based therapy

    • Design educational & promotional material (both print & online)

    Social Media Interns

    • Create content and coordinate social media posts

    • Follow & respond to relevant social media activity

    Administrative Interns

    • Support the Operations Manager in all aspects of business administration

    • Assist patients with accessing insurance benefits
